Keynote Speaker: Dr Cara Stepp

The OVS are delighted to announce our confirmed Keynote Speaker, Dr Cara Stepp!

Dr. Stepp is the director of the STEPP LAB for Sensorimotor Rehabilitation Engineering at Boston University. The goal of her research is to apply engineering tools to better understand, rehabilitate, and augment disordered human communication. Her long-term research goal is to extend current and novel therapeutic advances to the voice and speech system, improving treatment alternatives.

Dr Stepp's keynote presentation will be on the topic of objective assessment of vocal hyperfunction; she will also deliver a further talk on auditory-motor impairment as a potential risk factor for hyperfunctional voice disorders.
